GAD- 65 (Glutamic Acid decarboxylase), IgG - Test, Procedure & Cost

This test is used to detect autoimmune diabetes mellitus ( type 1, insulin-dependent) and endocrine disorders like thyroiditis and pernicious anemia, and some diseases such as stiff-man syndrome, autoimmune encephalitis, epilepsy, and autoimmune myelopathy.

What is GAD?
