• You need to lie perfectly still during the scan, as any movement during the scan can hamper the quality of images. making them blurred.
• The scan usually takes about 30 minutes to get complete.
• Once the scan is complete the scan table will slide out of the scanner machine.

How To Prepare For The Scan?

• You should inform if you have had recent heart attack (within last 6 days)
• If you are claustrophobic or cannot lie still for 30 minutes, you should inform your healthcare provider.
• If you are pregnant or breastfeeding you tell your doctor beforehand.
• If you are on any medication for certain diseases like diabetes or others, it also need to be informed prior only.

Aftercare

No specific aftercare required, you can resume your daily activities unless guided otherwise by your doctor.
