What is an X-ray Both Knee Oblique Test?

The oblique knee view is an extra projection that is asked for when a complete look at the knee joint is needed. There is both an interior oblique and an exterior oblique. Inside and outside oblique views of the knee can show fractures and changes in the bone caused by wear and tear.

Why is it done? 

• • To find any broken bones in the knee joint and to keep an eye on how the bone heals once it has been set.
• • To find infections, osteoporosis, bone problems, or bone growth that isn't normal.
• • To figure out what's wrong with the knee that might be dislocated.
