An OPG (Orthopantomogram) scan is a type of dental radiograph. It captures a panoramic view of a patient's upper and lower jaw, including their teeth, jawbone, and surrounding tissues. It is commonly used by dentists and oral surgeons to evaluate a patient's oral health, diagnose dental problems such as cavities, gum disease, and impacted teeth, and plan treatments such as braces or dental implants.

During an OPG scan, the patient stands or sits in front of a machine that rotates around their head, capturing a series of X-ray images that are then combined to create a single panoramic image. The process is non-invasive and generally takes only a few minutes to complete.
