Ultrasound Biophysical Profile

A USG-BPP is performed in the last three months of pregnancy. This test assesses the fetus's health. First, the foetus is examined using ultrasonography and cardiotocography (CTG).

The BPP records the baby's heartbeat, muscle quality, movement, inhalation, and amniotic fluid quantity.

Why is it done? 

• The USG Biophysical Profile (BPS) is a series of health checks for your infant. Measures mobility and muscle tone in your baby.

• It also measures your baby's heart rate during movement and the amount of amniotic fluid surrounding him.
