MRI sacrum is an imaging test. This test helps to examine the disorders of the sacroiliac (SI) joints, the joints that connect the lower spine to the pelvis.
MRI Sacrum is FDA approved diagnosis for sacrum/Sacroiliac Joints disorders. Doctors prescribe this test to examine intervertebral disk disease and intervertebral joint disease which are the causes of severe lower back pain and sciatica.
Radiologists will add a device called coil to the part of your body that has to be imaged. Next you will be inserted into the MRI machine to capture detailed images using a computer and other required machines.
Stop worrying about the test as there is no specific preparation rule. You are advised to follow your normal life, eat and drink normally, and take your medications as prescribed.
Coil will be removed once the test is successfully done. Collect reports and reach your doctor for next stage treatment.
This test costs around Rs.8000-9000/-. Reach certified diagnostic centre like Ganesh Diagnostic as early as possible for best results.
