MRI Mammography

The MR Mammography is a scan to check the breast abnormalities or suspicious breast lesions that are malign.

With MR Mammography, you can detect the cancerous tissues in your breasts and help you treat them on time before it develops to next stage.

Procedure

MRI of the breast produces clear images of the layers within the breast using a high magnetic field, radiofrequency, and a computer. It is generally employed as a backup to mammography or ultrasound for breast screening.

How to prepare for the test?

You may eat, drink, and take medication normally. Do not apply deodorant, wear a one-piece outfit, not before or during the menstrual cycle,  and consume caffeine for at least 2 weeks. You need to change into a hospital gown. No metals are allowed during the scans.

After care: 

After your mammography, you can wait for your results to be handed to you. If you see any concern in your results you can consult your doctor immediately.
