Malaria fever is a highly life-threatening disease that is caused by the Plasmodium parasite, which is transmitted through the bites of infected female Anopheles mosquitoes. Symptoms of malaria include fever, chills, headache, muscle pain, and fatigue, and can appear within 7 to 30 days after infection. In some cases, malaria can also cause anemia, jaundice, seizures, coma, and even death. Treatment typically involves antimalarial medications and supportive care to manage symptoms and prevent complications.

Prevention strategies include avoiding mosquito bites through the use of insect repellents, protective clothing, and mosquito nets, as well as taking prophylactic medications when traveling to areas with a high risk of malaria transmission.

Rapid Diagnosis Test (RDT): In this test, the drop of blood would be taken from the finger and then it could be immediately placed on test strip. A few drops of the solution that are added, along with a few minutes later, there could be red line would appear on the strip. If there are two red lines that appear, the test would be positive for falciparum malaria.
