Kawasaki disease (KD) is a rare but serious illness that primarily affects children. It is characterized by inflammation of the blood vessels, particularly in the coronary arteries that supply blood to the heart.
The symptoms of KD typically include fever, rash, redness and swelling of the hands and feet, and swollen lymph nodes in the neck.
