HPV have several genotypes. These are divided into:
High risk – cancer causing genotypes come under high risk HPV. Example – 16 and 18 cause the majority of cancers. Others are 31, 33, 34, 35, 39, 45, 51, 52, 56, 58, 59, 66, 68, 70 genotype.
