  2. LH (luteinizing hormone) Test - The LH blood test determines the level of luteinizing hormone (LH) in the blood. LH is a hormone produced by the pituitary gland, which is found on the underside of the brain.
  3. Prolactin Test - A prolactin levels test is typically used to: Diagnosis of a prolactinoma (a type of tumour of the pituitary gland) Assist in determining the cause of a woman's menstrual irregularities and/or infertility. Assist in determining the cause of a man's low sex drive and/or erectile dysfunction.
  4. DHEA Test - This test detects DHEA sulphate (DHEAS) levels in your blood. DHEAS is an abbreviation for dehydroepiandrosterone sulphate. DHEAS is a sex hormone produced by both men and women. DHEAS is essential in the production of the male sex hormone testosterone and the female sex hormone oestrogen. It also plays a role in the development of male sexual characteristics during puberty.
  5. Free Testosterone Test - A free testosterone test only detects "active" testosterone. Although this test is less common, it may be useful in diagnosing certain medical conditions. A bioavailable testosterone test measures free testosterone as well as testosterone that is loosely attached to albumin, a blood protein.
