HBV DNA Quantitative Hepatitis B VIRAL DNA

It's called the viral load of the Hepatitis B virus. Quantitative tests look at how many viruses are in the body. It tells how much viral DNA is in the blood when you get sick. Usually, this test is done to see how well hepatitis B treatment is going. Hepatitis B virus mostly spreads through bodily fluids or unprotected sex.

If the HBV viral load is more than 2,000 IU/mL in people who don't have HBeAg, the virus is active and can cause liver damage. In this case, treatment is thought to be necessary if the HBV viral load is above these numbers.
