The purpose of the glucose tolerance test is to gauge how the body reacts to glucose.

The GTT 75 grams glucose tolerance test is what, exactly?

For our bodies to function as fuel during our activities, glucose is necessary. Only the necessary amount of glucose is used by our systems; the surplus is stored in the liver. Whenever our body needs glucose, the liver produces it. In some diseases, the extra glucose is not retained in the liver but circulates throughout the body. The GTT test, a 75-gram glucose tolerance test, gauges how the body responds to glucose. The glucose tolerance test involves administering 75 g of a sweet solution to the body, followed by measurements of blood sugar levels one, two, and three hours later.
