CSF Protein

How does one prepare for the test? 

If you take blood thinners, tell your doctor. Heparin, warfarin (Coumadin), and aspirin (Bayer). Give your doctor a complete list of your drugs. 

Inform them of any previous back or spinal issues or neurological disorders or conditions. Inform your doctor if your job requires a lot of back work. You may need to miss work on test day.

After your test, you should rest for at least an hour.
