Burkitt Lymphoma-Translocation 8/14 Chromosome translocations, a type of lymphatic system cancer, cause Burkitt lymphoma. A chromosome is fragmented during a chromosome translocation, after which it becomes linked to pieces of other chromosomes. The most frequent variation, which makes up roughly 85% of cases, is t(8; 14). As a result, Burkitt lymphoma-Translocation 8/14 is the name of the blood test.
