There are two components of Apolipoprotein A-1 and A B. These tests help in determining the risk of the development of CVD as some patients have a family history of heart disease and increased levels of lipids. These high levels of lipids help in determining the cause of the disease. The component of apolipoprotein Apo B has been used to diagnose the effectiveness of the treatment of lipids. Sometimes, this test can be conducted to analyze the genetic condition which has caused the over and under the production of Apolipoproteins ApoB.
The other component of the apolipoprotein Apo A-1 test is conducted to diagnose the deficiency of Apo A-1, such as fish eye disorder.
There are some tests conducted for determining A1&B serum.
Apo A-1 test.
It is performed when the patient has a family history of abnormality in the levels of lipids and the presence of cardiovascular diseases. Also, it is conducted when the levels of cholesterol in a patient increase.
The risk of developing cardiovascular disease and the measurement of high levels of cholesterol is measured by the ratio of Apolipoprotein B/Apolipoprotein A1.

Interpreting Apolipoproteins A1 & B Serum results
The component Apo B is associated with low-density lipoprotein and the formation of plaque, so if there is an increase in the levels of this component, it means there is a risk of developing heart disease.
