ANCA-PR3C-ANCA (ELISA)

An antibody called anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies (ANCA) is a good way to tell if you have small vessel vasculitides, which are caused by necrotizing lesions on the walls of the vessels and a buildup of lymphocytes and macrophages around them.

Neutrophil and monocyte proteinase 3 (PR3) antibodies of the IgG class appear to be directly engaged in the pathophysiology of vascular injury by producing excessive neutrophil activation and destruction of the arterial wall. In the mechanisms of vascular necrosis, the proteins PR3 and elastase play critical roles.
