What is the Acid Phosphatase Prostatic Test? 

Males have acid phosphatase in their prostate glands. The acid phosphatase enzyme found in the male prostate gland is 100 times greater than found in the body. When a gland develops cancer, the phosphatase enzyme level rises. This test is used to diagnose the cancer level. Prostatic acid phosphatase is the enzyme found in the prostate gland.
