Stress MPI scan result

A normal result indicates that the flow of blood through the coronary arteries is probably normal.

An abnormal result indicates the problem. It can be due to

• Scarring of the muscle of the heart due to a previous heart attack.
• The reduced flow of blood to a part of the heart because of a narrowing or blockage of one or more of the arteries that supply the heart muscle.
