The MRI Brachial Plexus is conducted to visualize the entire course of the neural network. The test gives a detailed picture of the nerves starting from the cervical spine and that go to right or left arm.
You will lie down on MRI table and a device called coil will be placed around your neck. You will then be positioned inside the MRI scanner. A contrast material may be injected through IV to get clear images.
How does one prepare for test?
There is no special preparation for this MRI examination. You can eat normally and take your medications as prescribed. Remember to wear comfortable clothes and leave all your jewelry and valuables at home.
After MRI Brachial Plexus, you can follow your previous diet if you were following any special diet instructions. You can resume your normal life activities unless you have other tests scheduled or any other emergencies. Drink a lot of water to flush dye and avoid coming near kids and ladies for next 4-5 days.
