What Is MR Venography Pelvis?

This is the special type of test used to look for the blood flow through veins in the pelvic area of the body. This test is used to look for vein blocks, thrombosis, injuries and damages related to the veins of the pelvic areas. There are also various conditions which can be studied due to this test like:

• A specialised MRI coil may be used.
• Contrast material may be injected through a vein if required.
• The table moves into the MRI scanner.
• Multiple images of the pelvic veins are obtained.
• The patient needs to remain still during the scan.
