CT Bilateral Thigh and Leg Test

CT B/L Thigh & Leg are abbreviations for computed tomography of the bilateral thigh and leg. It is a type of imaging scan that produces cross-sectional images of the thighs and legs. It is used to identify abscesses, infections, broken bones, masses, fractures, and tumours that cause pain in the thighs, foot, ankle, and knee joints.

You'll lie on a narrow table that slides into the CT scanner's centre.

When you enter the scanner, the x-ray beam rotates around you. (Modern "spiral" scanners can run the exam continuously.)

Slices are separate images of the body created by a computer. These images can be saved, viewed on a computer monitor, or printed on film. By combining the slices, three-dimensional (3D) models of the leg can be created.

During the exam, you must remain still. Image blur can be caused by movement. Short periods of holding your breath may be required.

The scan should take no more than 10 to 15 minutes.

The doctor recommended a CT B/L Thigh & Leg to diagnose a bone fracture, bone deformities, broken bones, infection and pain causes, tumours, and other problems in the bilateral thigh, foot, ankle, and knee joint.

CT B/L Thigh & Leg is not performed during pregnancy. Female patients must inform the doctor/radiology nurse of their pregnancy prior to the examination.

There are no risk factors/ side effects involved in this scan.

procedure is painless and quick. this procedure is generally well-tolerated, with most patients experiencing either mild pain or no pain during the procedure. There were no patients who experienced excruciating pain.
