Gemini TF PET/CT (Philips Medical Systems) is the new high-performance, which is time-of-flight (TOF) capable; it is fully 3-dimensional (3D) PET scanner along with a 16-slice Brilliance of CT scanner.  With its proper evaluation and performance of the machine and research studies, this machine is now routinely used for many clinical studies.

• This PET/CT scanner machine uses a small, discrete lutetium-yttrium oxyorthosilicate ([LYSO], along with Lu-to-Yt ratio of 9:1) of crystals placed in an Anger-logic detector design to also achieve with uniform light spread in this detector.
