What is a Screening of UPP ABD?

The screening of the UPP ABD uses an ultrasound imaging procedure to screen the upper abdomen.

Why done?

It needs to check the UPP ABD to diagnose distention or to evaluate the pain in the kidneys, spleen, pancreas, liver, abdominal aorta, bile duct, and liver.

The Procedure of Screening of UPP ABD?

In this procedure, the sonographer uses a transducer on your UPP ABD area and moves it slowly back and forth. With the help of a sound signal, it creates images on the computer.

How one is prepared for the test?

Before going to the UPP ABD screening you need to fast for at least 8 hours. If you are on medication take it with a sip of water.
