What is MRI CHEST CONTRAST?

MRI CHEST CONTRAST helps gain a more detailed view of the chest structure from within. It is performed to detect abnormal masses, tumors and their size and extent, disorders of the chest bones, monitor blood flow in the heart and its chambers, etc.
Procedure
MRI CHEST CONTRAST is performed using an Intravenous catheter inserted into the vein of your hand or arm. A contrast material is injected into it, during which images are taken by the radiologist or doctor. Then, they check if more pictures are needed.
How does one prepare for the test?
It is advised to change into a hospital gown and remove any metal objects you might be carrying, such as accessories, watches, credit cards, keys, etc. Take food and medication as usual unless advised otherwise by the doctor.
